GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIPS/SCHEMES :

• Rajiv Gandhi Shiksha Sahaya Yojana. • National Scholarship to Children of School Teachers. • National Loan Scholarship. • Freeships to Children of Freedom Fighters. • Post-Matric Scholarships to Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/Other Backward Classes. • Merit Scholarships to Chioldren of Teachers. • National Scholarship. Educational Concession to children of Indian Repatriates from Portuguese Colonies. • Educational Concession to the children of Service Personnel.
(A student can obtain the above mentioned scholarships/fee exemptions on fulfillment of all criteria as specified by the Government. Forms are available in the college office)

STUDENTS’ AID FUND

The objective of this scheme is to render financial support to poor students to meet their tuition/examination fees in part or full or, to purchase books or meet any other expense as approved by the College Authorities. Every student is required to contribute Rs. 50/- per annum towards this fund. Financial support under this scheme shall be considered only for those students whose family income does not exceed Rs. 25,000/- per annum. Applicants shall be required to produce income certificates from the prescribed authorities. The maximum permissible financial support under this scheme will be Rs. 1,500/- per annum. The beneficiary should not be in receipt of any other scholarship/assistance except merit scholarships. A student who fails in the final examinations will not be eligible for any assistance under this scheme. However, on clearing examinations subsequently, the student may be considered eligible for assistance during the next academic year

1. POST MATRIC SCHOLARSHIPS TO SCHEDULED CASTES, SCHEDULED TRIBES AND OTHER BACKWARD CLASSES.

The bonafide students should apply for the above scholarship , provided they fulfill the following criteria’s:

  1. The concerned students should belong to the category of SC, ST and OBC and it should be supported by the documentary evidence in terms of Caste Certificate and Income Certificate of the parents
  2. Forms should be filled in NEATLY in all respect without any mistakes. Duplicate form will not be issued.
  3. Family income ceiling will be as follows :
  4. SC/ST           – Rs. 1.00 lakh per annum
    ST                 – Rs. 1.08 lakh per annum
    OBC              – Rs. 44,500/- per annum
    Kanya Dhan  - Rs. 1.20 lakhs per annum

  5. Income Certificate issued by Sarpanch/Talathi and Countersigned only by Mamlatdar or any higher authority Shall be accepted.
  6. A student can apply for ONLY ONE type of scholarship at a time.
  7. Certified True Copy of marklist of last qualifying examination Should be enclosed with application form.

The students who have already been granted the scholarships/Freeships in the earlier years and are now promoted to next class (S.Y. /T.Y.) should fill-in “RENEWAL FORM” for scholarship.

Last date to submit duly filled in application is 10th September, 2008)

2. SCHEME OF EDUCATIONAL CONCESSIONS TO FREEDOM FIGHTERS AND THEIR CHILDREN :
Children of Freedom Fighters can apply under this scheme.
   The applications must be submitted along with the following documents

    1. Xerox copy of the birth certificate of students.
    2. Registration Certificate of Freedom Fighters from Home Department.
    3. Xerox copy of the Identity Card of the Freedom Fighter.

Last date to submit the application is 15th September, 2008.


3. RAJIV GANDHI SHIKSHA SAHAYA YOJANA SCHOLARSHIP TO ECONOMICALLY BACKWARD CLASS COLLEGE STUDENTS
  1. The income of the parents from all sources should not exceed Rs. 18,000/- per annum.
  2. Candidates must secure a minimum of 45% marks at the H.S.S.C./F.Y./S.Y. examination and he/she should be a resident of  Goa.
  3. Resident Certificate of the State of Goa (15 years).
  4. Only one student of EBC family can avail of the scholarship.

Dates to be notified very soon.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Forms should be filled in NEATLY in all respect without any mistakes (USE BLOCK LETTERS). Duplicate forms will not be issued.
  2. Income Certificate issued by Sarpanch/Talathi and countersigned by Mamlatdar.
  3. A student can apply for ONLY ONE type of scholarship at a time.
  4. Certified true copy of marklist of last qualifying examination should be enclosed with application form.
  5. The students who are already granted the Scholarships/Freeships in the earlier years and are now promoted to next class (S.Y./T.Y.)  should fill-up a “RENEWAL FORM”.

  2. Income Certificate issued by Sarpanch/Talathi and countersigned only by Mamlatdar or any higher authority shall be accepted.
  3. A student can apply for ONLY ONE type of scholarship at a time.
