1. Every bonafide student is a member of the college library.
2. Each student shall be issued two readers cards (one for a text-book and one for other books). These cards are non-transferable.
3. Students shall keep a book for a maximum period of one week from the date of issue.
4. Every student is requested to fill a Requisition Slip which is available at the issuing counter and submit it to the library one day in advance.
5. Books may be renewed if there is no demand/requisition and, the decision about renewal of books rests with the Librarian.
6. A student should possess a valid Identity card to gain entry into the college library.
7. Periodicals and newspapers are not meant for home lending.
8. If a student fails to return a reference book, newspaper or, periodical issued to him/her before leaving the library, a fine of Rs. 5/- per day will be charged.
9. Students are required to observe silence in the library.
10. Students found guilty of any misbehavior can be denied entry at the discretion of the Librarian.
11. In case of loss of reader’s cards, a duplicate may be obtained by a student on payment of a stipulated fine.
12. Loss of a reader’s card should be reported to the Librarian immediately.
13. Students are requested to examine the books issued to them and report any damage. If a student damages or loses a book, he/she will have to replace the same or will have to pay a fine as determined by the college authorities.
14. If a book is not returned within the stipulated time, a fine of 1 Rupee per day for the first week and, two rupee per day will be charged until the book is returned. If a student fails to return a book for more than three weeks, his/her home lending facility will be withdrawn.
